Terya Circus company is a worthy representative of African Circus, characterized by ancestral acrobatic techniques: hand to hand, pyramids, acrobatic traditional dances… Its creations, including Boulevard Conrakry hosted two years ago at the festival, also borrow from hip-hop and urban dances that shape African culture today.
With their new creation Ikawana, the Guinean company has chosen to investigate on immigration to the West, the departure towards an often mythical Eldorado. This show explores territories with tenuous borders of intimacy and humor, while awakening awareness of societal challenges in Africa.

Terya Circus artists received the Cirque du Soleil Prize, the Audiens Prize and the Trophy Fratellini for their works.
